Title: Modern Dance and The Leafs
Date: 28-Mar-2006

I went to see some modern dance theatre with Susan. After a short while, a bunch of the bored husbands found a little area of seating off to the side with a TV nearby. They turned on the Leaf's game and started to watch the TV with the sound off. Every now and then we would hear muffled cheers coming from that area. Eventually I got irritated by the dance and, even though I don't like hockey that much, I went over to watch the game. As I sat down, one of the Leaf's players was on a break away and he flipped the puck. The goalie tried to stop it and he knocked it down, but the puck kind of flipped down behind him and it slowly slid across the line as he was searching for it. The goal counted and there were only 2 seconds left on the clock in the 3rd. The score was 3-2 for the Leafs. The guy next to me couldn't contain himself and turned around to the crowd and yelled "THE LEAFS ARE GONNA BE PLAYING FOR THE STANLEY CUP!" The audience was largely female and looked at him angrily, but one of the dance troupe members stopped, looked at him, and said "Nice!"
