Title: The Shaky Edge Of Madness
Date: 04-Feb-2006

I was in an ancient town at the foot of a huge and ancient man-made structure. It was like the pyramids, but much larger... more like a man-made mountain. It was dusk and raining when I started to climb it. The structure had a large rock staircase that went up in sections. I climbed and climbed to the point where I was in the clouds until I reached the last section, which was so long that from the bottom of it you couldn't see the top. The structure was so tall that as I climbed this section I emerged above the clouds. In fact, it was so tall that as I climbed further, the sun appeared.

At the top, where the sun was still shining, there was a large entrance with rock doors that led to a huge room. I went in a looked around. There were a few people there, but no one was really moving around. Far along one wall, I came across a smaller rock door and there was a man outside screaming. He screamed that the door was stuck and there was a body in the storage area out on the balcony. I grabbed a piece of metal and pried open the door and went outside telling him it was alright, and that there wasn't a body. He took me to the storage area. He was clearly very frightened, but I insisted that there wasn't a body and opened the door. Sure enough, there wasn't a body, but there were lots of ancient books. We pulled them out, and started to look at them when he became obsessive about one titled "The Shaky Edge Of Madness". He wouldn't let go of it, and he insisted it belonged with him.

At this point, I realized everything that had just happened was part of a well known legend. The legend was about a man who had become obsessed with this book and had gone on to murder all the women and children in the town effectively ending his town's life. I realized that I was the one who had released him from his prison and given him the book.
