Oh my, it’s 2008!
January 21, 2008 From: doug

I often come to my own site to read the daily Deep Thought, and I just realized the last time I posted an item here was over a year ago, in 2006! I have a few things in the queue that I keep meaning to post here, but the truth is that all of my free time has been taken up with Pete Nema fun:

PETE NEMA

I update that site a few times a week, so it’s a good place to go to find out what I’ve been up to. I realize I’ve also been completely neglecting Meatsicle, and I have a build up of stories for that site. I guess they’ll just have to wait…

[Photoblog]Night Beach #3 - 2006-09-08

As the remains of Ernesto took out the power in my area, I headed down to the beach and snapped some long exposure photos. Because of the thick clouds and the power outage, the only light on the beach was being cast from downtown Toronto (where they still had power). These photos were taken sometime after 1:00 AM.

Phobia of the Day
Megalophobia: The irrational fear of large things

Reader's Tips
With a permanent marker, we identified our telephone directories. We don't pick up the wrong one anymore.

It would be a good idea for makers of plastic coated wire shelves to make individually stacked wire shelves for telephone books, etc., for easy removal.

Doug responds: Why aren't there more products designed for the heavy user of printed telephone books? I can never figure that out.
