Strange (adjective): unusual, extraordinary, curious, odd, queer.

Hailing from London, Ontario, Strange Breed is more than just a performer -- he’s a defier of convention. He is a member of the LGBT+ community, living openly bisexual and having previously been in a polyamorous lifestyle, which is a focal point of his music and widely reflected in his overall message as an artist.

Nee David Sisson, he discovered his love for music at an early age. Unlike the cohorts of his generation, Sisson spent more time playing music than playing video games. By 14, he began playing drums, where he got in touch with his natural gift of rhythm and flow.

Strange Breed’s creativity takes many forms. His artistry encompasses: drumming, singer-songwriting, emceeing, poetry and comic book publishing. Like a comic book character, Strange Breed possesses the power of non-stop creativity. Since 2017, he has released a number of works and projects.

2018 saw his debut EP, Monophobia -- a showcase of his tonal diversity and cleverly captivating lyrical style. The EP featured tracks from body tracks and speed raps to R&B and spoken word. This became representative of his overall style.

November Lights, 2019’s follow-up EP, was met with praise from the London music scene. Strange Breed sold out his release show -- and he wasn’t even headlining! His raw power as a stage performer, in tandem with the energy of his music, gained him recognition as a bourgeoning rapper in London, as well as the New York City underground rap scene.

2020 brought about the Covid-19 pandemic. Much was at a standstill, yet Strange Breed’s creativity would persist even further. He would release several singles leading up to 2020’s full-length, The Curiosity -- produced and mixed by fellow collaborator, ScrmmbledEggs. Isolation Blues EP followed in May 2020.

Upon placing third in the Survival Of The Fittest competition, Strange Breed gained the attention of the late Axel Rosa, a producer known for his work with emerging Canadian rappers OHKG, Dre Specz and more. Before Axel Rosa's passing, he would produce The Cat -- the sequel album to The Curiosity, which was released in February 2021. Strange Breed would again manage to sell out his release show (following proper safety procedures, of course)! In June 2021, he was declared Best Hip Hop Artist by the Forest City London Music Awards.

In March 2021, Strange Breed revived his project, Incognito Baby, an experimental alt rock fusion trio, accenting genres such as alternative, trip hop and electro-groove. The group features Strange Breed on vocals and drums, Karla Scadutto on backing vocals and MJ Vaessen on guitars, bass and backing vocals. The trio plans to release their debut album later in 2021.

Time is a canvass and Strange Breed has creativity to spare. He has a big, vibrant picture in mind for his fans and supporters, new and old. With no signs of slowing down, he has the future to behold!
