Concert Review: Basement Arms
May 4, 2006 From: doug

It turns out there is an organization in Toronto called Wavelength and every Sunday night at Sneaky Dee’s they run a pay-what-you-can concert featuring independent Canadian artists. Recently, the lead singer from Basement Arms invited me to come out and write a review of their set. I was hoping to practice a little concert photography as well, but I hadn’t received my DSLR yet. Anyway, there was another guy there doing basically the same thing, so I got some photos from him and included them in my concert review of Basement Arms.

[Photoblog]Night Beach #3 - 2006-09-08

As the remains of Ernesto took out the power in my area, I headed down to the beach and snapped some long exposure photos. Because of the thick clouds and the power outage, the only light on the beach was being cast from downtown Toronto (where they still had power). These photos were taken sometime after 1:00 AM.

Reader's Tips
To create a rainbow on demand when watering the yard, aim the garden hose upward at an angle and sway. You can see a bigger arc when the sun is low, such as in midmorning.

Doug responds: I wish I had known this during that week long binge of hallucinogenic drugs.
