While searching for movie reviews a couple of weekends ago, I stumbled across an interesting website called the ChildCare Action Project, which includes an interesting introduction. They use the CAP Numerical Analysis Model to rate movies in six categories: Wanton Violence/Crime, Impunity/Hate, Sex/Homosexuality, Drugs/Alcohol, Offence to God, and Murder/Suicide (WISDOM). Higher is better. What scored 100? Mary Poppins, Who Gets The House, and that’s it. Nothing else. What scored 0? Only three movies: American Psycho, Freddy vs. Jason, and Scary Movie. But how did your favorite movie score? Check it out on the CAP reports site. I think it’s amusing to note that Alien vs. Predator scored a 73 while About A Boy scores 37. The reviews for South Park, Bad Santa, and the two reviews of Dogma (Partial Viewing, Full Viewing) are worth a read. Ah hell, they’re all pretty good.
